Designed with Figma and built in Framer. 100% no code.
Introduction
This is a personal side project that I did to make my self a professional portfolio site so that I can display my work online and it also act as archive library for my career journey.
Goal
The goal here is to "learn as you go" kind of idea where everything I learned from scratch and solve problems that I encountered along the way. Instead of using Behance, Dribble and Notion I was more interested to built a real site myself from scratch. Hence, I was debating on what software to use be it Wix, Framer or Webflow. I was looking for a low learning curve and fast solution, then I met Framer. Since I was a Figma user, Framer offers similar UI and functionality and thats where I managed to adapt on really fast.
Before redesign
I've actually published my site back in April 2024 but as time passes by I did some redesign to improve on the designs based on feedbacks from colleagues, mentors and close friends.
After redesign
Major rework on landing page, some features are removed. The reasoning behind this are to make the site much cleaner without any extra pages or features because the main goal of the site is to actually see my digital work and skills.
The process
Here is a peek at my Figma file when I first design version 1.0. I don't have the newer versions because they are directly designed in Framer except for some custom components where I drew it in Figma and export into Framer.
Impact and Observation
The journey to make this site live has backed me up with a lot of new skills as well as software proficiency. Eager to explore more on what can be done especially diving into web3 website design with all 3D assets are involved.
